Rob Maitner made his New York City debut in the off-Broadway musical FAIRY TALES at the WPA Theater. For his performance
as Matthew, he was awarded a Bistro Award by Backstage. Rob then went on to create the role of Mr. McQueen in the world
premier of URINETOWN in the NY International Fringe Festival. A fixture in the downtown theater scene, Rob performed
in such varied roles as Dim in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, John the Baptist in CORPUS CHRISTI, Valere in TARTUFFE, The Chaplain in
FLEET WEEK and Shannon in POOR SUPER MAN, for which he recived an Outstanding Performance Award from FringeNYC. As Einstein
in PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE, Rob had the distinct honor of performing for President and Senator Clinton. Regionally,
he's enjoyed successful runs as Victor in PRIVATE LIVES, Boyd in THE BIG BANG and Man in LAUGHING WILD. He is the recipient
of two OOBR Awards and a Outstanding Actor Citation for FLEET WEEK.
As a vocalist, Rob has
been a fixture at some of New York's best live music venues. He has performed along side Jennifer Holliday at Joe's
Pub, Len Cariou at 54 Below and Andrea McArdle at The Laurie Beechman Theater. In 2006, he debuted his one man show,
THE MISADVENTURES OF ROBBIE MAITNER at The Duplex.
On camera, Rob is featured as Dr. Uva
in the upcoming film THE PAPER STORE starring Penn Badgley, Stef Dawson and Richard Kind. He stars as Bert in the pilot
FREAKME and was a guest star in the webseries CONVERSATIONS WITH MY EX.
Commercailly, Rob was featured
in HBO's Stay Home summer campaign. Currently, he is putting the finishing touches on his first screenplay, AM I BLUE?,
based on the Bruce Coville story of the same name.
